"Chocolate, eyelashes, bikini and shorts first two essential for my well being second two because I didn’t have any and it’s hot but still not essential "
I read that as chocolate eyelashes (bet they're not waterproof). |

Bought Easter eggs, a greeting card (no stamps!) and summer clothes/sandals for my daughter. Actually the clothes were kinda essential, otherwise I'd either have to have a naked 3yo out playing in the garden, or one wearing jumpers and long trousers in hot weather. I'm wondering about buying her new shoes when she needs them? I guessed the sandal size but that's a bit different to properly fitted closed shoes...... |

I had a wire break through a bra, that's the second one in recent times... A bra is essential, help. |

True.
But neither can you stick a dog in a fridge, hit it with a large spoon...and eat it.

I think I missed the memo where we're only allowed to buy essential items?! They can't enforce that. It's fucking nuts. If I have to go out to get my shopping because there's no way I'm able to get a delivery slot, then I'm making the most of it and buying all the non essentials. |

I did a non essential ESSENTIAL trip round to my parents house to get change for the tooth fairy business. I had no cash in the house and my daughter pulled her wobbly tooth out.
They left it on the gate post and I loved driving the empty roads at night once she was asleep. I think any police officer stopping me would have let it go for sure |

I'd love to have enough money to have champagne as essential |

"Beard trimmers and dye seem popular
Arguably essential after reading this"
Absolutely essential! Just because we can't go out doesn't mean we want to let ourselves go... and I'm certainly not looking like crazy cat lady for anything!! |

I think that was a general consensus on that other non-essentials thread - just make the most of your shopping trip.
I was cheesed off to find plants were half price the previous week |

Chocolate
Crisps
Soda
Actually I'd class soda as pretty essential for me - if I don't drink at least a can a day I get horrendous migraine headaches because of caffeine withdrawal. |

No! One of the pleasures of staying home is not having to wear a bra! Imho

You CAN still claim items are non-essential, but I believe that, providing items are bought during your essential shopping trip, if they're available and you want them, purchase them. Look at it that you're doing your bit for the economy .
The measures are more about decreasing "footfall", but the govt cannot really change their stance on "essential" items as some people will make separate trips for the items (I'm allowed kind of thing) and footfall will be on the increase. |

You can only leave home if you have a reasonable excuse
Essential and non essential goods are not regulations |

Not yet. However other countries either do have these regulations, OR over zealous cops (as we reportedly have had), OR the press are simply sensationalising actual contexts of police and shoppers. |

Prosecco. Nail varnish. (Gels/extensions came off weeks ago so nails were rotten) Charcoal for a Braai (just me and OH at this Braai may I add)
Haven't brought any clothes etc. Shaved my head so no hair products either.
I think most people are being sensible at this time |
