Im.not fed up with lockdown, I'm fortunate enough to have a garden and I've been finding enough to do to keep occupied.
I am looking forward to getting in a couple of shifts next week though. |

"Yes. I was self-isolating with symptoms for two weeks before lockdown started, so it's been five weeks for me with at least another three to go...."
Same. With 4 kids and the husband still working so pointless being at home with him potentially bringing the virus home |

You are cutting the risk of spread though by not going out yourself. I would think a lot of households somebody goes out if that’s to work or the shop. |

So far I'm reasonably happy at home, only missing the pub - and it's opened my eyes as to how much i was spending in there.
Got both gardens in tip tip shape and I'm lucky enough to still be doing a bit of work. |

"Yes I fucking fed up with it
who agrees with me this is bloody awful and fining it hard.
You would be more fed up in hospital with the virus than putting your feet up at home and watching tv.Its all about a positive mental attitude think about what you have and how much worse you could be rather than what you are missing.x"
I don't think some people appreciate how bloody difficult it is for others to be totally alone, 24/7.
Yes, it's about being positive.
Some people just don't have that strength though.
I suspect the numbers of people who are having their mental health issues pushed to the limits right now is extremely high.
To say "Just have a positive mental attitude" is akin to patting someone on the head and saying "there there".
Or trotting out the "there's plenty of people worse off than you" line.
A little attempt at understanding goes a long way.... |

Just had a meeting this week about the increasing issues in mental health and the upcoming years that are going to require a lot of support.
Your right. Far to many people are just saying get on with it.. or as you said.. " many people worse off. " it isnt helping and its making more people just keep it to themselves. |

We are fed up for sure but also try to be positive about the situation. There is no sensible alternative to lockdown as of yet. Most countries have it and just about coping with it. We hope it will be over soon like most folks. Let's think for the best but not be too disappointed if it doesnt happen and lockdown is extended again.. |

My housemate got symptoms while visiting a friend for a few days just prior to lockdown. Now she is stuck there and I'm here on my own. Was working to end of March but now gardening and working on allotment... |

Lockdown is all about control and monitoring people, new rules and systems are being put in place. So free movement as we know it will never ever return, once they have systems to monitor and control do you really think they give them up. World lockdown is a con please start looking what governments are putting into place in the name of keeping you safe. IT'S ALL BULLSHIT AND WE ARE WALKING INTO IT. |

First world problems?
It's inconvenient." but to some people it is more than inconvenient... it is causing them issues.. some more serious than others. The isolation is going to cause some long term issues that are likely to be prevalent long after this is put to the history books.

Its the "keeping it to yourself" that can do the most harm IMHO and experience. |

It's a cost/benefit thing. Yes lockdown will cause issues. Including PTSD.
I think the alternative is a much higher death and disease rate, which would also cause PTSD.
At this stage lockdown is the least worst option. |

I am not fed up with lockdown.
I'm really enjoying it and don't want it to end soon. ( leaving covid aside of course )
I find everything so peaceful. The mornings are nothing but birdsong. The days are like they used to be - quiet unless you want otherwise. Roads are safer, shops are quieter and there is more space to walk.
I don't work as many hours as before. I have done so many jobs that needed doing that I couldn't find the time for.
I'm reading more. Walking more. Sleeping more. Keeping the garden tidy.
There's not much I miss, except human company but then I have company on the end of a phone or on a computer screen.
I have warmth , food and entertainment and far less stress than usual.
I'm one of those that benefits from lockdown but I do know that others feel their life has changed for the worse.
I don't relish dying in the second or third wave after getting through this one...... but bored and fed up ?? Nope.

I'm currently on benefits due to the closure of everywhere I work.
It's all new to me.
I'm guessing it's all new to the tens of thousands of people who work in my industry too.
Happy that you're working and enjoying life. Keep it up.... |

To be honest when I left work this afternoon I reckon I've worked 42 hours since Tuesday morning. I dont work on a Saturday. And I've been paid for just 30 of those hours. I was in over Easter too. I'm knackered and fear burning out before any degree of normality.
I feel for those struggling with lockdown. I feel for those furloughed with little to occupy them.
But please, stick with it. Be bored, be sad, be angry. For all of those working in this shitstorm |

Yep. We all are, it's not even an issue with horniness... But just one of mental change and the lack of desire to "get used to it"...
The main issue is that people will forget how to interact add many day the generation before then gets more distant... This could invert that philosophy |

I feel my life not been affected much I only notice really on days off as can’t go movies or meals etc.
But as I work daily it doesn’t feel the same as friends who are in lockdown who are going crazy.
I just hope it works |

I am totally fed up but recognise it’s a means to an end. I’m in a lucky position I have a peaceful not overlooked garden and some paddocks I can bum around as little old me. It must awful for people trying to keep kids entertained and for people with no outside space.
The cracks are starting to show people are flouting the lockdown in the next village I know for a fact the pub is still serving and people are doing all sorts of things.
If it goes on much longer it will only get flouted more and more.

I found it difficult in the beginning, living on my own means it's been nearly 5 weeks now since I've come within 6 feet of another human being (my work closed nearly a week before the official lockdown due to the nature of the business).
I miss hugs and casual touches on the arm etc. It feels very unnatural, and I have a real sense of deprivation in that way. I miss my boyfriend and my friends and I'm scared for my Dad. And I'm scared for myself if we have to go back to work. With my personal health circumstances I don't think I would come out of it well, if at all, and there would be little chance of avoiding it back at work.
I'm getting used to being on my own now though. And like Granny Crumpet said it's so quiet, it's all birdsong and sunshine and no cars...and no fucking tourists!
Another benefit is seeing people's true nature come through, in the real world and this little fucked up online one. There are some kind, lovely, giving beautiful people about. And there are some right arseholes! It's good to be able to see who's who.
And at the end of the day no matter how difficult I sometimes find things I know I've got it easy. I've got a safe home, I've got a little bit of savings to top up the, welcome but not enough, 80% wage grant. I've got enough imagination to never be bored. I've got the internet to reach out to family and friends (jeez thank god for the internet, we're so lucky to have it at times like this). And most of all I'm relatively healthy. I'm so lucky to be one of the ones riding this out safe at home, rather than having to work in a supermarket, getting abuse from arseholes, as a friend of mine does, whilst fearing catching the virus every day. No matter how I feel on a down day I think I'm bloody lucky and I'm so grateful to all the people doing the previously unthanked and poorly paid jobs that are the ones that really keep the economy going. And grateful to all the people in the NHS, from the doctors and nurses to the porters and cleaners and caterers and everyone who keeps it going. They work and work and risk their lives and their health and stay away from their loved ones just to save strangers.
All I have to do is stay at home for a few weeks, reckon I can manage that. |

I do understand the reason for lockdown, before anyone corrects me and pat's my head in a there there style.
But my business has collapsed, and without savings and no means of income as I only went self employed last May...I'm screwed.I have loans insurance and normal debt plus my rent.
Very little food left, credit cards at max and no means of paying them, lockdown extended possibly now till mid June...
I'm shit scared and have no help available.Yes I can walk the dog and cycle but that doesn't get me money.
so no ,forced lockdown isn't a holiday for everyone. |

Here's my "just another day for dolelights and scroungers"
I've just had my universal credit statement through.
Grand total of £933 a month.
My rents £1,175 a month.
I'm paying them back £87 a month on the advance I had to pay last month's rent, which was £250 short.
I've also got to find money for gas, electric, water and council tax, plus a little luxury called food.
Yup us dolelights and scroungers have it so easy.
Some people have not a fucking clue.

I'm still working but I'm enjoying lock down on the whole, roads emptier, people are home to receive their parcels, my house has never been cleaner, my DIY jobs are finally getting done, I've been baking, eating really good meals, gardening.
I appreciate its different for everyone and I imagine it would be different if I weren't working, and I sure do miss my parents and extended family and friends, potentially not seeing my parents until the virus has completely gone or they get a vaccine in good knows how many months and months, that's the worst bit for me. Praying they don't catch it in the mean time. |

I’ve worked all through lock down. Hoping I don’t get covid or my kids but it’s a 50/50 chance! Wish I could stay safe at home but I’m healthy and I’m a key worker! Every time I go to work we are short staffed and new strange rules are in place to use PPE because the government hasn’t looked after its most vulnerable!
So am I fed up with being bored? Erm no! I am however fed up of risking my whole family’s lives! But I suppose being safe in your home and bored is a hell of a lot worse so I shouldn’t complain! |

Nope.
