I get driving a short distance to an open area for a walk. The one I question is visiting a friend to 'cool off'. We're all struggling being shut in, but doesn't that open the floodgates for people moving about and potentially contaminating another household? Go for a walk if possible to cool off. |

The advice also says the visit to a friend should be measured in days, not hours. In other words it’s for someone fleeing abuse. |

Once you give people the green light to do something they will. Nothing stopping people now strapping the mountain bike on to the car and driving 30 miles into the countryside and spending the day riding the hills ,beaches with their mates who just happen to be doing the same thing at that time. |

Seriously, I do get that, but it will be open to abuse, as I suppose some of the other regulations are, sadly. |

There will always be people abusing the rules. The people with bikes strapped to the car should be approached, as were the men who had travelled 80 miles with a canoe on top of their car! |

New one is letting people go out if they have argued with partner. How on earth are the police going prove that one. Being home for almost four weeks we have argued we just sit in different room for a bit. |

"You can stop to eat a picnic lunch on a long walk but not sit on a bench on a short walk. "
Crazy isn't it? The sooner people take responsibility for themselves, the sooner we can get out of lockdown. |

They could just go out for a walk, if possible. |

I’m not sure this isn’t a process of slowly getting the country back to a new normal but with the ability to clamp down should the situation start to spiral. |

A very British way of getting out of lockdown. Just let it fizzle out! |

Surely it's better than them staying in the house and one of them knocking ten bells out of the other?
If that happens and the police are called then one will end up staying somewhere else anyway so it's actually very sensible from the government to give them the option of distance without someone needing to be harmed first. |

Come on now that’s far to obvious , you’re dealing with certain members of the public to grasp such a thing |

I got stuck behind somebody having a driving lesson yesterday. I'm guessing it was mum and son from the same household but would love to see them explain that one to the police as essential travel. |

In stages, I would say non essential shops and if no jump in infections after 3 weeks, relax travel to parks etc..
In three week stages leaving social distancing and pubs, cafes, cinemas last in the stages |

I'm so glad to see the new measures included like the cooling off. It is very much needed x |

Agree, I was actually in 2 minds about it, on one hand I thought it was a perfect time for them to be doing it whilst the roads are dead, the other side was what happened if they had a breakdown or a bump and had to call out for assistance. |

Even those who aren't learners can potentially have a breakdown , a bump or require assistance though |
