The UK government declassified COVID 19 - meaning its not considered a HCID (high consequence infectious disease).
Go figure that out...

That was done quite a while ago. Only a few hospitals sre designated to take such patients ( to help with containment) and when the numbers went up it became clear that those few hospitals couldn't handle the number of cases. By declassifying, it meant all hospitals could then take virus patients. |
