Is anyone else on here starting to get tired and worn out? I’m pulling long days and overtime looking after this who are sick and dying and it’s starting to take its toll. I took a day off yesterday because I hadn’t seen my kids in so long and they wanted to see me. As much as I wanted to play with them I just fell asleep for a few hours. Then I was petrified I was going to pass it on to them.

Am I the only one who feels like this?

Hang on in there. Your efforts are appreciated, believe me.

I know what it's like to be working long hours, but you have the added stress of what you do to contend with. I, for one, am so grateful that we have people like you willing to put the hard yards in.

Yeah I know exactly how you feel. I fear burn out of key workers and particularly frontline staff who are absorbing so much emotionally is going to be a huge issue when we start to move out of this shitstorm.

Don't ovrdo it on the overtime. Those long shifts are a nightmare. Please look after yourself.

Lack of sleep affects production of cytokines and stress affects production of T cells. Cos you're in the environment laden with covid 19, you'll be more vulnerable if you catch it.

BTW if you're a doc then I'm teaching my nan to suck eggs .

Bebington, wirral

Me and hubby both still working full time plus overtime feel absolutely shattered! As key workers we are glad to be working but feels more draining than usual think current situation makes it more intense

I've been doing some 16-18 hour days, it takes it toll, this 4 days off has been a good rest though
