"How long do you all thing the lock down gonna be
On and off until a vaccine is found . So 18 months minimum - this beast is going nowhere" I hope that we wont stay so restricted. For mental health and economic reasons they will have to lift them sooner rather than later. I had some hope in the one month on.. one month off strategy that I saw. That I could just about manage with |

It will get extended by another 3 or 4 weeks at the next announcement (Tuesday I think). I think what happens after that will be down to hospital admission rates and the strain on the NHS which is more relevant than the actual death rate.
I would expect by June there will be relaxation of the current lockdown but still significant restrictions on mass gatherings.
Ultimately, I suspect the government are working on schools reopening in September and to achieve that we need a degree of normality in July and August as whatever the exit strategy is, it will be phased

I personally think the middle of May will see the lifting of some restrictions, with the exception of mass gatherings. The government knows that the economy and mental health of the nation could not take much longer than that. As long as the hospital admissions are at a manageable level (lower than present). |

Twelve to eighteen months before life starts getting back to normal.

Socail distancing may be around for a long time even after restrictions have been lifted, possibly becoming part of the foreseeable future. |

"Can go on in this form past June 1.
More people will die for economic reasons than coronavirus.
Other health problems are already brewing in the population." suicide rates are soaring.. and people are ignoring health issues out of fear of being taken to hospital x |

Spot on.
Once the infection rate has fallen, they have to open things up again.
Lots of operations have been cancelled, screening programmes suspended. Some people will even die because dentists are closed.
And crime will soon increase if lack of cash really kicks in. |

Government 80% payments are only for 3 month, so end of may. Then the reduced amount of payments to the workers that where furloughed will then be paid to the self employed in June as others start going back to keep the economy afloat. Spanish workers government payments stops this week,so certain workers are going back.
Just have to take each day as it comes, stay safe and stay home till told otherwise |
