Nobody wants anybody dead, some people are miffed that the party and government he leads have driving the NHS into the ground through a decade of austerity and now lots of people, who many of us love, will die.

He will get the best healthcare the country has to offer and some of us may get none atall, so i find it hard to break my heart over him 2bh but i hope he recovers because I value people over things like money, unlike tories.

Personally I detest the tribalism in politics that seems to have got worse since Brexit.

Unfortunately the NHS came second to BREXIT as an issue in December's election.

Yeah, you never hear of any right wingers wanting Corbyn dead on social media every single day, or threatening any other prominent left wing figures, or regularly committing hate crimes, or murdering British MPs n the street.

Makes you really wonder why it’s not called the compassionate right!

Alot of people, regardless of their political beliefs, did in fact beg for a lockdown and now that it's here won't follow the instructions. These are the same people that bitched about schools still being open in case their poor little cherubs got ill, the ones whose kids are now roaming the streets in gangs.

There are dickheads in ALL political parties.

Yes! Someone is asking the correct questions.

I guess we all have our own ideas. Mine is that the establishment are constantly fighting to gain more control. And by continually dividing the working class. It appears to be extremely successful. Largely through their control and influence over the media.

Just look at the amount of negative news over Labour and the anti semitism thing Vs the much larger problem of islamaphobia in the Conservative party as an example of how things were reported on Vs the actual size and severity of the problem.

And it's working too. We've got more Tory government and austerity, people on the news saying they voted Tory because "we need a change", it to "get brexit done". And yet a party that wanted to actually help people were completely demonised.

I heard about that

Why did you vote conservative?

Because we need a change

You couldnt make that shit up!

Brexit was massive for them..just blame everything on Europe and repeat an meaningless slogan over and over.

Worked a treat.

"Why don’t the left ever really win in the UK that’s a question I want to know?

I don’t see Blair as a real left winger and we all know how he turned out.

There is an obvious answer but I wont bite.

Because we are traditionally a conservative nation..throw in the media narrative and bingo.

I’m not going for a bite mate. It’s a genuine question.

If the Right are so bad why do they keep winning. And why is Europe slowly turning that way. You can see the gains being made.

Yes! Someone is asking the correct questions.

Central

Manipulation of the people via propaganda, using their power ovrr your same emotions that terrorists or dictatorships use, whilst also controlling the human priorities for shelter, safety, food, survival etc, is a very tried and tested methodology. Governments and leaders increasingly around the world are ensuring that they do this, stoking the fears, anger, hatred, division, fatigue and overwhelm, whilst they produce a facile solution, usually involving them taking more power away from the masses.

I'd say a good chunk of them did but you are right not all.

Many in the north did

I'm not sure giving the masses more power is a good idea if Brexit is anything to go by.

"

And yet they still voted for a party that put Brexit front and centre as their number one policy, so what difference does it really make?

"Why don’t the left ever really win in the UK that’s a question I want to know?

I don’t see Blair as a real left winger and we all know how he turned out. Because the right are eulogised and buttressed by the media and people are usually selfish . Voting labour means fiscal sacrifices for the collective good ...compromises most arent prepared to make

"Why is it always the lefties who spout how compassionate they are- the ones who always seem to want other people (like Boris) dead? "
Have you ever saw anything from the right wing mob wanting anyone dead? Too many are quick to label anyone that shows compassion or stands up for minorities in any way as leftie snowflakes and I would guess by your attitude you are one. Oh and what a stupid narrow minded post that was.
