closer than you think |
I live in a small block of flats and we have a very large communal garden.
I take exercise by walking around the garden and over the last few days I’ve sat in the sunshine.
Now the part I’m confused with .... when other residents use the garden at the same time, we ensure to keep 2m apart but if there are 2+ (Could be up to 6) in the garden, is that classed as a small gathering and be discouraged?
It is a private garden and only residents use it but we don’t want to be accused by people of being negligent |

I think it would be think if there are more than 2 people then anyone else should respect there space and not going in garden and people would have to respect the people wait and not stay out for silly amount of time..as you shouldn't be mixing with people outside your household |

I think it all depends on the precise circumstances. If it's a very large garden, with a small number of people keeping well apart and limiting their time there anyway, it's got to be safer than a shopping outing. The lockdown doesn't mean absolute isolation, but it does mean being sensible and minimising unnecessary person to person contact. Those at higher risk obviously should be as strict as they possibly can in order to maximize their own safety. Others can help by not being stupid, and by remembering that anybody can catch this, and it can be very serious for all ages.
Chatting with neighbours, while keeping a good distance, can help us all keep sane through this.
Be safe everybody xxx |

If you're keeping your 2m distance just enjoy yourself.
I personally wouldn't be bothered about what others think or say.
Some people are so scared that they attack others as soon as they open the front door and some don't care at all.
If the rule is 2m apart and you're doing just that..relax. |

"So it’s ok to be in a supermarket where no one keeps 2m apart but not in a garden where we ensure space is maintained? "
I know it's stupid if you feel it a big enough space then it would be up to you and other people using the garden at the end of the day I was more thinking about getting reported by other people cos there are alot of people who think they are the enforcers of the rules and if you ain't isolating their way it's the wrong way |

Phone your local police information line (not 999!)and ask for guidance. Did this last week re continuing our business and they were very helpful. They'll take your details and record the contact so you can refer to it if there are any issues later on |
