If the Queen is going to speak to the nation tonight at 8pm and good on her.

Then whats the point when all the news people today are telling us what she's going to say 8pm already?

It's for the people who can't read.

It was recorded a couple of days ago, with one BBC reporter in full protective gear "to protect her of course". I laughed at that add on comment by Nicholas W.

Utterly disgraceful and disrespectful of the media to be revealing what she's going to say ahead of the event.

This is our monarch ffs.

I'd scrap the licence fee immediately just for this.

Who gives a shit what she's going to say.

It won't even be her own words.......she will say what they tell her to.

I'm trying to see what benefit it'll be to me, wondering if with my ailments I'll survive this. Now I'm furloughed, whether I'll have a job to go back to, hearing from someone in an ivory tower.

Think I'll give it a miss.

I am not a royalist but maybe the head of state addressing the country at this time could benefit the current mood.

Listening to some of the leaked content it would seem common sense is being offered.

Of course if it calms people's nerves or gives some sort of reassurance then fine but in reality she won't be saying anything different than the current line. Stay home, stay safe.

I really don't think anyone is going to do it just cos she says so.

Plus we are a month into this thing. Where was the address to the nation 3 weeks ago......
