Considering the country is on lockdown should asking for a meet be a reportable offence?

I had had 3 different guys ask me for meet this week.

Yes.

I've reported veris as well if people post them and they're "meet in person".

If they're stupid enough to be posting retrospective veris weeks after a meet then more fool them in the current climate.

If that makes me a twat then so be it but people seriously need to be accountable for their actions. If you've met someone a month ago then put it on your veri FFS!

Gin induced rant over.

Central

People can discus meeting but the time consuming thing is filtering out the majority of people who are not compatible.

You can leave the potential time frames as for following on from the end of lockdown. You might suggest a late autumn time, subject to the progress of the restrictions. I've rarely met quickly and Octoberish would be about typical for my speed.

You can keep in contact and review closer to the period. Admin review all reports that they receive, so you can report anything that's against site rules.

You can report people who are asking to meet either in their status or by private message. Bear in mind that verifications can be from much earlier meets though.

Admin state quite clearly that they now seem asking to meet as a breach of terms and conditions

Quite hilariously a woman on my local updates has just posted a status update asking if anyone local is driving as it's urgent. I messaged asking why she needs someone who drives as we're all in lockdown.

Answer was that her friend is pissed and is lost and she's worried so needs to find her.

Yup sounds like an emergency.

What if the language of the verification suggests the meet took place after lockdown? I.e. “Thanks for last night”

Probably turn a blind eye. I've seen loads of them. Anyone with half a brain would be clear on a veri to state when they met and I've seen loads that are clearly post-lockdown.

I report people on a daily basis as i get messages to arrange a meet soon. Its totally not on and so glad fab supports this by allowing us to report it. They do a good job as everyone i reported, i no longer see their profiles. And no, i don't reply to them so they don't know its me who reported them. I hope me saying this on forums stop more men asking me to meet.

I've reported one looking to meet last week. The profile has disappeared and reappeared 48 hours later. The profile is on my block list but how many others know they were looking to meet during lockdown?

Here is an explanation from Admin from another thread on how they deal with reports.

******Just a quick note. If people report others and we can verify that they have broken site rules, we always take action (either a first and final warning, partially suspended account, fully suspended, mixture of the above).

Every single report sent via the REPORT link is reviewed. Clearly it's not in our interests to have people on here who are bad for the site. Equally we need to verify what has been reported and be fair to those who have been reported.

Admin

PS. we never provide feedback on what has happened. It's just not practical given that we get 100s of reports a day.

Here is what the page says after a report has been submitted:

--

Your feedback has been saved.

A website admin will shortly review your feedback and take the necessary action. After reviewing the evidence available to us, we may disable an account, remove a user, disable certain aspects of that user's account or issue a warning.

By leaving feedback you help improve the site for everyone who uses it. Thank you.******
