Listening to the news before and I think today was the 1st day questions are being seriously asked about how this is being run.The nhs, nursing unions, scientists, labour are all raising valid concerns about a variety of issues..screening,protective clothing, ventilators etc.Journalists were also asking challenging questions which were obviously evaded.

Upto now most seem to have adopted a 'see what happens'approach.

I think that may have just been broken.

I follow no one.

If you chose to post an alternative view of the current situation on an open forum, you can expect to receive criticism .

It's Jeremy Corbyn's fault.

Somehow.

Dubai & Nottingham

Reality is, these MPs or whatever they are, have no skills or experience in anything much, so will be just making it up as they go along. Countries getting this under control usually have leaders with background in military or similar large scale operations to control an outcome.

BlowJo’s spent the majority of his adult life blagging and bullshitting , making up the daft Euromyths was probably his best achievement, which he was fired for. He doesn’t actually have anything useful , any skills, problems solving or leadership qualities to bring to this.

Boris will cure COVID-19 with a slogan. He will repeat it over and over till COVID-19 gives up.

"BTW we have now gone past the 1 million infected total and 50 000 dead."

'Globally, the World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that the flu kills 290,000 to 650,000 people per year'

2019 data from WHO. Not wishing to belittle any figures about anything. But why hasn't the World taken flu on a the major killer of human life on Planet Earth.

You can't just look at how many people died. You need to look at how many were infected.

If as many people get infected with COVID-19 as are infected with flu every year then there will be millions dying.

Also seasonal flu is not one single virus. It's a few of them together.

It's like saying why worry about Ted Bundy when so many people are murdered every day.

Also the WHO has taken on flu. That's why we have flu vaccinations.

From CDC 2019.

Flu has sickened an estimated 36 million to 41 million people and ... is more than any of the past five seasons, including last year,

Anf how mamy people will die when the same number have been infected with COVID-19? 1 394 000. Slight difference wouldn't you say?

Yes because not everyone gets vaccinated.

How many would have died without vaccinations?

Flu injections have not eradicated any pandemic. As up 650 thousand deaths from it each year prove.
