We are heading to florida from the 15th of August for 10 days then heading to Miami for 5.

Lol have you seen Americans? All pretty normal looking.

You'll be fine at those places. If you are staying on I-drive or in Kissimmee there are plenty of vanilla places where you can have fun too.
