Hi fellow fabbers can you help us. We want to go to Mardi Gras in February but having problems finding a hotel, every where is booked or massively expensive!!!!.
Could you possibly give us some recommendations or tell us the best way to go about booking somewhere central.

I know New Orleans and the hotels there pretty well but Mardi Gras gets booked months in advance and the prices are as you state - sky high. I've my favourite hotels there and generally stay just outside of the French Quarter, for a more peaceful time. Get in touch if you'd like any ideas. |

We were in New Orleans a few weeks ago and stayed on Frenchman street which is close to all the Jazz bars and about 10mins from bourbon street. It was called the R&B bed and breakfast. And it was fantastic. Check out the reviews of trip adviser.

Last time we had the Superdome Holiday inn, this time we have the Courtyard Marriot, but we booked a few months ago when it was still around 100$ a night. |
