Your bid to get the America forum busy has had a boost by getting a thread locked down!
Welcome to our world.
(Disclaimer: this is a light-hearted jokey thread, not a discussion about thread closure - please don't send me to the naught step mods. )
So how's it going over the pond? Has spring sprung yet? |

"I'm so proud to have been the one that started that thread !
Why do threads get locked down? Is that a good thing?
"
Threads get locked down cos they break the forum rules, though not really badly. Often it's cos they attract replies that are near the edge. So if people are getting nasty/abusive or some kind of ist or discussing other sites or discussing illegal behaviour or discussing bans or trying to get round a block.
If the opening post is out of order or deliberately provocative (trolling) then the whole thread may just go poof and vanish - sometimes you may click on something and get a message saying you're not allowed to read this page and it's cos it's in the process of poofing.
The mods are usually pretty fair. If you think a thread or a post crosses the line then click on report and they'll get to it. If it's a post in the middle of the night they might not be straight on it but it will be reviewed.
And if you are the one who has broken forum rules you may get sent to the naughty step for a few hours or a few days. If you've been really bad it could even be for good.
Yep, I've had my share of forum time-outs. I got one for my very first post!
If you want to see the forum rules they are easiest to find on the desktop site. Click on the reply in forum button (just down there, underneath my ramblings) and on the page that comes up is a link. |

but honestly folks its a good people that contribute everyday it has made it work.
I also believe without support from our friends across the pond are forum, while still growing, would be a tad less bright. you add a ray of sunshine and hope that helps us grow.

we do apologize for the spelling errors
while Mr Green jeans maybe a good speaker. and believing his "lack of education hasn't heard him none." his writings on the wall leave a lot to be desired.
