Just read a post in the Lounge Forum that 74% of Americans know that the earth revolves around the sun.

But conversely that would mean 26% didn't believe this.

That's not true is it, come on surely not?

You'd be surprised. I've met people who don't believe there were ever dinosaurs, cavemen, or that the Earth is millions of years old.

What is the original source of this survey and can it be trusted? Also, the title of your post implies that religious beliefs are the only negative influence on American education.

Can anything be trusted anymore. By the time political spin is placed on it, or the person ( or group.) is paid to prove a fact?

It's actually an oblate spheroid. Most of us get that way after a few years.
