Does swinging in the USA differ from that in the UK?

If so how?

Search for my posts - it is something I have mentioned often.

The Brits are more laid back about it! Look at the age range of the Brits vs the US. The US crowd is a more mature crowd.

In the US it is almost a dirty back alley kind of thing!

We agree with Barso, plus a lot of Americans are not willing to put in any time or patience to cultivate something for on down the road. We always meet people socially first, but we get a lot of people that just want to go straight to a hotel. If they can't then they are not interested. ( makes us wonder if they are getting any action at all.) There is also manners, U.S. couples have about always been great with this, but a lot of the single males here ( not all ) can be pretty rude. While we're sure it happens in the U.K. also. We just don't seem to get it nearly as much from the U.K.

These are just things we've observed while being on this sight. It's also not meant as a representation of all of the American Swingers. We have met and chatted with some great people over here.

I agree. The Brits have a very sophisticated and more genuine approach. I am new to this scene and I really notice a difference. Makes me want to move to the U.K. Lol !

In a word...YES!!!! It's so different. It's almost underground here. The clubs are so hush hush, sign up in order to get directions...snobbier in a way.

I had a meet with a guy from the UK, we talked about how "free" they are over there, how there's clubs everywhere and fun for all!

The Netherlands is even better, they really seem to have the right idea there. The clubs are fantastic with a far more open attitude towards swinging.

Here in France it's very liberated! Clubs are not hidden away but on the main streets. In Cap d Agde there are about 20 within an hour, so come on over

What would you say it was that makes it "almost dirty" to americans?

If you could put your finger on it, would it be the american dream of good wholesome family lifestyle?

Or the bible belt brigade?

Quite possibly true.

Personally, my wife and I are looking for long term friends in this, but I admit that I often feel we are in the minority. A lot of people seem to just want to shag, and then quickly move on to the next person in line.

Thank you, but no. Just not my style.
