Bears aren't stupid, unlike some people, they know where the water is, they can smell water many miles away. You'll never find a bear that died of thirst, it's not going to happen lol.
I have to admit, I didn't know the black bear were being more aggressive this summer, since we don't have a big population of them where I live, but I do keep an eye out for them when I'm walking in the woods, and I also make sure they hear me when I'm in the woods. You don't want to surprise a black bear in the woods, they really don't like it lol.
It's terrible about the serious drought out west.
Lake Mead is 158 feet below full pool level.
Drastic measures will have to be put in place to
try and maintain current water levels or it's going
to be a true disaster for several states very soon.

" there's already big fines in place if you waste water or don't fix a leak , they have personnel going round checking cos it's such a big deal |

Your absolutely right, it's getting serious.
The people living there can only do so much.
I think their going to have to do more as far as allocating additional water reserves from other states while this drought is going on out there. It may take quite awhile to get lake mead's reserves at an acceptable level again. I think they waited to long before they decided to do something to balance water reserves, it should have been done years ago. That's an infrastructure necessity that should have been addressed long ago. Specially when you have tens of millions of citizens living in an area that's really nothing but a desert without massive amounts of water to maintain it. |
