Is Stimulus the same as what we call Foreign Aid over here?
If so it's often nothing more than a bribe/incentive/sweetener to stimulate trade with foreign nations. It's why you see payments for seemingly ridiculous things. |

I heard under the relief bill illegal immigrants will also receive a check. Illegal immigrants. Because surely the American taxpayers would agree that Pakistan and illegal immigrants should receive their hard earned tax dollars, right?  |

We are in a fantastic situation it is just alot of major cities cannot do what we do to offset the income. People are realizing that being reliant on your government is a joke. |

Our government is failing us at every turn! Even the republicans are throwing money away. Help our people who are failing because of this "pandemic". Our children's children will be saddled with this debt. How could the bill be 5000 pages long? As my Brit friends have taught me FFS. FOR F&^!$ SAKE.
WTF does a stimulus bill have anything to do with pakistani gender studies, jordanian border walls or anything else regarding middle east. Why were funds going to the Obama library in the last stimulus.

If they took the 900 billion and gave it all to us we could get 600 a week for the next 2 months. Like the smaller European countries are doing.

It's also 'payment' for security and intelligence cooperation. Remember when you guys killed Bin Larden in Pakistan?
People also always rail against foreign aid and I think there's a legitimate case to be made regarding corruption, wastage and so on, but the money certainly isn't wasted. At a level it keeps the world a safer, more secure place. |

Actually no - a large majority of British people support foreign aid. Largely because they understand the complexity of its purpose. However, the minority who clearly don't understand this and are constantly clamouring for its abolition are louder.
However, they're usually silent when it comes down to their own government's record of wastage with their own money (particularly if they vote for said gov). Take for example, the recent £21bn wasted on PPE contracts. That's £1000 per head ...how many nurses, doctors, teachers, police, social cares could £21bn pay for?! |
