Morning all, just thought I’d post a home workout that people can do to keep the body & mind active during lock down.
There are of course other workouts people can do. If you have a ‘Smart TV’ go on to YouTube and search P.E with Joe (Joe Wickes). This is actually aimed at young children, but I would challenge anyone to do it and say that they didn’t get a sweat on!
Another great one is ‘Six Pack Revolution’ and the ‘Lockdown Free Workout’.
All the above are really good, 20-30 minute workouts that you can do from the comfort of your own home.
I run circuit classes at my local gym every week (well, I did do before lock down!) and I have put together a really simple circuit that you can do at home.
Before you start, you will need the following:
- Comfy clothing (doesn’t have to be gym gear, just something you can move freely in)
- A glass/bottle of water
- Music pumping!!
Do the following exercises for 30 seconds each, followed by 30 seconds rest. Complete the circuit twice!
If you aren’t familiar with the name of the exercise, just type into google and you should see an example.
Jogging on the spot
Star Jumps
Squats
Mountain climbers
Leg raises
Sit-ups
Plank
Heel flicks
Total workout time = 16 minutes!!
