Bentley's are fantastic cars, however like all luxury marque cars the second hand price may well be attractive, but always way up the cost of spare parts, maintenance and running costs. I'm pretty sure buying through a dealer you would get a prestige example with all the perks and after sales service. Private sales of course your on your own. I'm sure you have done your homework already, enjoy the experience.

May I ask which model?

There a great car, superb lines, fantastic choice. You can get them for around 30k+ for a 2004-2006 model, if you don't mind higher mileage. it's like everything, if you can up your price there's a huge selection available and the world's your oyster. 50-60K and you will get a pretty excellent car from a dealer.

You can get crash written off, with a few dented panels, but still drivable and mechanically sound for well under 10k. As long as your prepared for the repair invoice! There's a few auction sites that deal with high end luxury cars.

Thanks for all that, you got me excited just reading it lol.

I have thought about buying a slightly damaged one and fixing her up.

Still can't settle on a colour , but it's going to be either black or white.

My friend has an early 90's model paid £38000 for it. Service just cost him £4000. Makes my Range Rover seem like economical motoring.

"Hard to believe a service could cost 4k !!!"

Not that hard to believe on a motor that costs 130k new! And im pretty sure the garages that can do the official services are real specialist!

The other thing to consider is the mpg, a friend of mine had one and said around towm he was getting about 8 - 12 mpg! Having said that they are fast and sound amazing, met a few at lights with fun owners before

Theyre awesome cars though, and a nice choice - personally out of your colours id go for the black (matt if it exists) but i do love them in the champagne colour ive seen a few in too!

If you have to ask the price then you can't afford to run it.

Worst cars I've ever owned. I've had 3 this year because I'm stuck in a situation very much like that film Brewsters Millions and I need to get rid of a load of money before I'm due my real inheritance.... even got a £5000 a day cocaine habit which isn't helping getting shut of this sodding money but it makes driving these fucking shite Bentleys more enjoyable.....
