It's not specific to any one area, rather what everyone does no matter where they live.
Most people will arrange a social for any public place - after all you're not going to get down and dirty right there. A pub, coffee shop, local park etc. Anywhere you can just have a chat. A social is just an opportunity to see that the person/people you are meeting are who they claim to be (I.e actually a couple and not a single man) and to see if there is any initial attraction. |
