Hi im in sunderland nxt month with the wife to watch a show on a saturday night and i was wondering which were the best bars and clubs to go to before and after the show.

Depends on what kind of bars you like.

There's loads of bars on the same street as the Empire. If you want something to eat there's an Italian and Indian opposite the Empire as well as no2 church lane - a lush burger cafe/pub.

Vespa Tilley is popular with people going to shows and the new Fire House pub/restaurant?

Revs is just on the corner and plenty of cheap and cheerful bars along that street which will lead you to the night life after the show.
