Hi guys i am hosting a Xmas Mascarade Ball in a Night club, central location of York, It can host upto 230 people in the section we have been allocated. but lets be realistic here on numbers as we dont want to be rammed in like sardines. Am hoping to get in the region of 90 -120 for the night yes couples singles m n f, but it will not be heavily packed with single males but they wont be penalised for being a single male either. would be nice to get a good mixture of all.
The reson for the event is to raise funds for the York Special Baby Unit at York District Hospital,
The name of the venue will be remain secrect till week before date which is set for FRIDAY 25TH NOVEMBER, this will give everyone time to recover over the weekend or even plan more fun in york for the weekend.
There is no set dress code but would be great if you could make the effore to dress up and wear masks lol.
Cost is only £5 a head and drinks will be approx £1.50 all night for anything the Club owner tells me. He has waved any cost to us due to it being for charity.
You will not be Disapointed in the venue or the night.
If though we do not get the nummbers to make it a worth while event then it will be cancelled upto 1 week prior to the night.
I know its close to Christmas but lewts have a great one before the family things all kick in lol

there is a travelodge just round the corner on Micklegate and one on piccadilly, a premierinn on bishopthorpe road as well. |

Just ti let you all know there is also a premierinn just outside york heading towards tadcaster which is quite cheap will mean a taxi ride but if a few of you staying there then taxi share is always good |

The venue details havent been released as far as im aware so how did do you know where to contact. The host is still advertising the even on his profile maybe someone should mail him and ask direct rather than making assumptions xxxxx |

thankyou totty ,i was trying to be helpfull as folk kept posting is it still on ,so thought i would contact him so we could all be reassured ,but as it stands at mo looks unlikely,i wouldnt like to think folk had booked hotels etc to find out it was all a bluff,i understand folk will be dissapointed as we are but dont get arsy about it !!,if it does go ahead n the host has the decency to reply to folks queries on here then i hope you all have a great time .x |

hi all im sorry to say that the event has to be cancelled, the reason for this is that the club that was going to be used has gone into recievership, I have been trying to contact them all over the weekend to find out what is happening with the club and got nothing back. I have since decided that it best be cancelled now so as to give those chance to cancell any hotel bookings before its to late. I have also tried a few other venues to shich there would be an additional cost giving the time of year and the expense already ie hotels and costumes and the like would be unfair to ask for more money for entry. I would not want to go ahead only to find that the doors are locked and be left with nothing. I am sorry for this as some may appreciate it is out of my control, I totally understand if you are more than miffed off with this i wish i could find an alternative but with the cost of it i can not. Again i give you my unresereved appology.

This was not an iffy social or anything like that, it was for real as i went personally and spoke to the club manager and arranged it all myselve took time out from work to do so, reserched hotels and the likes. I know some of you on here will assume it was a joke and i would too as well, but then those who know me and have met me at other socials know this was for real and not just a joke. Again i can only appologise for this. I have took the time and effort to reply to messages i have recieved regarding this to those that have messaged me. |

i for 1 ave met stef on several occasions n kno the trouble he has gone to for this social, if anyone thinks it was iffy they wanna try organizing a social themselves n see just ow much work goes into it.this guy has tried his vbest n its not his fault the club went into reciever ship...  |

as a organiser of a social and met stef plenty of times this was a genuin social and it as been took out of his hands, so stop asumptions that just speads horrible gossip.
stef we gutted for you hun we know how much effort you put into this. try again next year hun because we will be there. |
