Be friendly and interesting, relate to what they want, and above all be honest (but polite!) about what you really want...
Imagine that you're going into a car showroom - you might say "Hello, I do like your cars and I'd like to find one that suits me, what do you suggest?"
Unfortunately, most messages (which fail!) seem to be along the lines of "Feck me, your cars make my dick hard, I wanna test drive one and rip the tyres off it..."
It's not difficult to be nice, really it isn't...
