I am there now and again tomorrow
Good is subjective - the scenery is as always stunning and the sea cool but inviting -
There are a few meerkats popping up at the top of the beach and I suspect some MM things going on in the scrub at back of beach - a few windbreaks and couples discreetly within no beckoning or invitations forthcoming from them! A single large naked lady walked past about an hour ago and said a cheery hello -
So if you want naked peace and harmony yup it is as good as all the years I have come here! |

As a couple, we have never used Slapton as a place to meet, just use it for Sun and a naked dip.
We have found many single guys strolling the beach to find a place to sit and wank, watching us lie in the sun a bit odd.
For us, at night, this would be acceptable, if we chose to be there, and "fair game" but when we are clearly Just trying to tan, not very nice.
Just our thoughts...
Maybe our naturist beach etiquette needs updating..or our use of a windbreak is giving out wrong signals... does a windbreak mean "game on!?"..

"Hmmm thinking of buying a nice wind break now lol "
Good plan - two windbreaks mean you can do a sort of entrance and be nice and private but also let the sun in...

When we were down there we didn't see any men wanking or making or being pain, there were some wind breaks set up at the back of the beach I guess being discreet and the gays right at the far end but you have to have walked a long way to see them and they were keeping them selves to them selves. Just to say Slapton is a lovely haven sea sun a and sex if discreet and if your lucky enough, please don't spoil it.

The very reason I won't use a naturist beach. |

Well I can report after our visit today. It was a scorcher and it was a great beach. No problems at all with anyone. We just relaxed. Water was a bit cold still but the small pebbly beach means you don't get sand everywhere. The road from the South is still blocked so you have to approach from the Dartmouth direction. We will be going again. |

I second this. The view from the beach was so beautiful today!

Yeah it was really nice down there today. Especially like the coffee trailer and the fact that the road is a dead end at the moment meaning no noise from motorbikes and other noisy through traffic. |

It is a great beach. Still early in the season yet, but is the closed road affecting the number of people?
Like the sound of the coffee trailer. Not seen that before - is it new this year or have I been going around with my eyes closed? |

Coffee trailer has been there opposite the front free parking spaces for a few years. Young lady owner gives superb service and seeks out the best real coffee. Now also doing sandwiches and cakes, and accepts card payment. Prices very reasonable. Live guitarist there too on occasion adds to the atmosphere. Please support this local enterprise, ask about the loyalty card too! |

You can get to the War Memorial (middle) car park by the Slapton village road from the Torcross end by car but then you'd have to walk or cycle to the Strete Gate end. Well worth it though if you have the time!
The council have put notices up all along prohibiting parking anywhere on the road down from Strete Village to Strete Gate allegedly to allow road construction traffic to get through (not seen any yet...) but more ominously stating it could be for another 18 months. So rip-off council car park, odd gateways if available or Strete Village it is now from that end....

It's a far enough walk from Strete gate Carpark with beach tent, windbreaks, dogs etc , add the extra stretch from the war memorial and it's a full on hike!! Looks like we will be going home with white bits this year |

Was there yesterday. Beautiful day & the whole beach was remarkably quiet. Even must have applied the sun cream properly as there are no burned bits today Excellent coffee from the van as well |

"Anyone down Slapton next week? Providing weather is good."
If the weather is good there will be many, not all players but have walk around and a chat you will soon work it out. |
