We found a b&b in Goathland.
It's about 10 minutes by taxi to Whitby but it saved us a fortune on prices on Whitby sea front |

ll I'll hopefully be there on Sunday, I'm more of a photographer, attended Steampunk in February and met some great people.
Got some brilliant photos.
This time I intend to get more of the abbey.

Change of hotel a few weeks ago.
Had an absolute nightmare with the booking.
Long story but our room was cancelled and if we hadn't been in Whitby at the time we would never have gone through Goathland to check out where we were supposed to be staying.
Panic booking found us a new place 5 minutes walking distance so it turned out ok. x

2 weeks to go yay
Staying near the Spa and for the first time in 10+ WGW not going to the gigs coz there is sooo much to do
The Met friday plus maybe Raw
may do the gigs Saturday though
We have loads of vanilla(ish) goth friends to catch up with but if you spot us say hi as they all know we are filth anyway....
we will be poncing about from Thursday to Monday

there is loads on at various locations ... have a look at the FB groups..
Raw nightclub
Met ballroom
Spa
etc
PS pub of choice of the dark ones is usually The Little Angel
we will be there from Thursday till monday but are lightweights compared to some of our friends who go all week
We should perhaps sort a WGW Fab kik group somehow???????

Ohhh
Now that's a plan.
I leave these group set ups to the women folk of the manor since I'm just a common folk working man whos only purpose is to tend sheep and bring home the paltry pay for her shoe fetish and bag obsession and I have no clue about modern tech. |

tanya the resolution has changed completely now . no bands . its more like a hotel cocktail bar now . I went in there in .April .what a shock . about 12_ people in

Quite a lot going on outside of the main Spa gigs...
Abby Wharf, the Met (sexy sunday place), Raw night club etc...
There are a few Facebook groups knocking about...
This is the first WGW I havent bought Spa tickets.... so much to do and I've seen most of the bands before....
Compared with Infest this year, the music at WGW is looking tame tbh... I wish they would get shut of the old 80s types and concentrate on newer goth bands.... Altered Image ffs etc
Either way it will be fun....

I didnt mean bands like The Mission etc just some of the recent people at WGW like
Altered Image, Heaven 17, Toyah, Lene Lovich etc...Plus the steampunk bands they had in April...Hardly goth/metal imho
We went to Infest in Bradford for the first time this year... was mainly EBM but it was a real eyeopener.. so much so that we are considering Germany next year.

get on facebook... look for the Whitby Goth groups..
there are people offering accom coz they cant go etc.... happens every year
ours was a cancellation
