i would like to know why in the north east socials are a pub crawl ?
been to two here and one as a cpl but found that if you did not know every one there was no way of finding out who were swingers and who were just drinkers in the venue this did not help when every one changed pubs,
in the end we gave up and went back to a friends hotel for drinks.
having been to socials in other parts of the country where it is in a single room or a whole pub, you then know every one there is a swinger and new friends are easer to chat to,
but in the north east you seem to be a closed shop if you dont know the faces to go with the names |

Jim, as a single guy who has arranged a deacent number of social meets i have never had any problem with wot you say, if you stand in a corner and hide away from people you carnt exppect people to come to you, some folks prefer pub crawls and some dont, its easy to say this and that, but for the people who take the time and effort to arrange the meets will testify its vert time consuming and you carnt please all the people all the time |

jim... i use to do exactly the type of socials that you at talking about... I won't do them anymore.. it got to the point of people whinging and moaning and all sorts of politics that to be prefectly honest it wasn't fun anymore...
the other issue is this... if that is how you feel... how about actually Stepping up and organising it... you'll then find it is not as easy as you'd like to think...
you can be proactive and go for it, or you can be reactive and moan about it... the choice is yours!!!
it may not be your type of social but i have great respect for anyone who actually sticks there neck out and tries to organise something... otherwise there would be nothing going on at all! remember that.... |
