Doctor Duncan's for a beer, The Grapes in Matthew Street for a bit of live music and get over to Liverpool One where you have a good choice of places to eat. |

My Pete Fucking loves Liverpool One for some unknown reason!
There are some lovely cocktail bars I'd just get on TripAdvisor you will get a better idea from there of what's good and also the type of place you prefer to go to

"me and the wife will be there sunday and Monday night any good reccomendations for somewhere to eat and have a relaxed drink"
Read thread.... or Google maps and search for restaurant/pub and look at reviews.
There are loads. But there are some above mentioned by a few locals. Enjoy your weekend. |

Bold Street perfect has a variety of restaurants, pubs and shops Vintage clothes etc... also an independent Cinema FACT has a bar and cafe.
I would stay away from the Albert Dock especially at the weekend, very expensive and crowded, same with Liverpool One the restaurant there get very busy.
If you want to get away from Town, get a black cab to Lark Lane about 15 minutes away more restaurants and bars on the edge of Sefton Park |

Bierkeller on Matthew Street .. Next to Rubber Soul .. It's only a set of doors but a good laugh.
We came across a load of Geordie girls on a twins birthday bash - had a good laugh |

I second Lark lane good relax pubs and some great places to eat.
Concert Square has some interesting clubs and a busy Irish bar.
You have also got Salt Dogs on Seel street fantastic selection of beers.
Just my recomendations from my last two years living up in Liverpool. |

"Any restaurant recommendations where a guy sitting by himself won't look weird? Haha"
McDonalds
I suppose depends on the time of the day or even the day, afternoon during the week most of the buffet types have plenty of lone diners but I wouldn't go to Liverpool One or Albert Dock as you may feel a little more 'weird'
Bold Street has many little restaurants, with a more BoHo type of feel where single guys sitting with a Book, Laptop or in most cases their phones wouldn't look out of place.
I would recommend FACT Cinema nice little cafe inside, decent food and really good WiFi |

Thanks! Think I might just treat myself to a wander round, I'll definitely check out the cinema though - good way of killing a few hours.
Thanks! |

There are lots of good bars in the city centre...younger crowd tend to head to concert square, while us older party people head to Mathew Street. The same applies to Renshaw and Grt Charlotte streets, karaoke bars and always packed. Some nice eateries around Hard man st and Hope st. The usual chain restaurants are dotted all over town. Don't think you will go too far wrong wherever you go, hope you have a great time. |
