I think it's at the discression of the officer. If you're caught with your pants down so to speak you can get arrested for gross indecency. Some will tell you to do one so it's a case of whoever shows up depending on what happens |

I would say just lewd public display. Not sure what d fines r what would happen . I think they might just scare you . Give you a good ticking off . Like your all adults n no rape r molesting of any sort took place . Laws and judges n police differ so don't think much can happen. |

The law was changed a while back to include things along the line of voyuerism ie watching someone having sex otherwise you can be certain if your caught in the act with anyone there is a probability you'll be arrested what happens afterwards will depend on the circumstances however the press just love to publish such stories especially local papers so it won't just go away afterwards
Seems to me that police seem to want to deter things from happening more and more |

I seen it on one of those cop shows, no digression shown that I thought was mean. The impression I get is that they are cracking down.
I am no solicitor so may be wrong; but I thought they have to prove that someone would have to have been able to or actually had seen you in the act? So maybe if you can prove you had taken reasonable steps not to be seen or cause offence to anyone else you may be ok. Although it's a bit hard to defend when your getting a blow job in the middle of tesco Isle 4 on a busy Saturday afternoon. Of course many people wouldn't want it dragging through the courts (especially if cheating) and just take a caution anyway. |

"What are the legal ramifications if youre caught in the act by the police? M/F and M/M"
That's not a proper question. Caught in the act of what??? Do you mean dogging?,At a raided party? What? |

Be careful if you do get caught and prosecuted and/or give a ticket (PND) you will end up on the sex offenders register. That's potentially a career ender for some professions.
The law the earlier post refered to is "Outraging public decency" It has to be a "lewd" act that "could" have been seen by two or more people (they have to be in public or a place that the public has access to). Where the act takes place is not relevant.
As a general guide, hyperthetically speaking, if it's in an area that's impacting on people and they complain then the Police will clamp down. Public parks in urban areas will get stamped on. If it's remote they are probably looking for drug use and have been known to let couples have a few seconds to make themselves decent, so no offences. Every force and officer has there own interpretation and line to cross, it depends, where how blatant etc etc. Bigger groups tend to raise more interest/ reaction. Advice - go remote, harder to find, more time to cover up. |

If you go down to the woods today...you'd better go DEEP into the woods Although it might be better to wait until the warmer weather returns |

I would say dependant on the circumstances and location time of day then realistically I wouldn't worry. If there were members of the public around or the chance of kids being likely to see you then you would be either arrested or reported for summons. If you were not reported then don't worry about it. |
