Found my old radios in the garage, last week. Don't think they need a license nowadays, like you used to.
Not sure I'd be willing to install a ruddy big antenna on the car though, like I did on my old bangers |

"Oh those were the days my friend. Never owned one but travelled with friends who did. Can they be monito_ed though by scanners and plod? "
yes, they can. They still have the capability to do that despite the growing surveillance carried out over the internet.
Depends what frequency your broadcasting on but if it's local one, innocent people and plane spotters like myself could accidentally stumble upon the frequency and listen in. |

CB has 40 channels, and you 'break' on channel 19 and then move to a channel to talk on. Might be good to choose a non 19 dogging channel.
I actually was testing mine with the idea of selling it,.
No normal CB traffic these days, it is pretty much zero, ...
Might not sell it if it's got a use now .. Lol |

It's worse than what, they can be monito_ed by anyone with a CB radio!
Yes scannes will pick up anything, assuming they are expecting anyone to still be using 27mhz, its about as popular and black and white TV. I used to repair and sell cb radios back in the day. |
