Im looking for somewhete in Birmingham or surrounding areas that sells poppers...and i mean good ones (preferably amyl nitrate). I usually go online to purchase them but the take a fortnight to arrive. So i was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction to a shop that sells them. Inbox me if need to. Cheers

Leicester and Birmingham

Most sex shops sell poppers, all of which are amyl nitrates. The old school type that were banned (and I feel they were the best) were isobutyl nitrates. Most new types are isopropyl nitrates and are often a let down. A brand called Xtreme I find is the closest to the old type. Hit and miss where you find it unless online. Can you get the old type?

I can get them from various adult shops but they all seem to be isopropyl nitrate, which are a lot weaker them the old school banned ones. Online i can get decent ones but they take over a fortnight to come and with postage and packaging can be pricey. An independent adult shop i know, which i wont name on here, used to sell them under the counter so to speak but stopped selling them a few years ago. Just wondered if people knew of any independent shops which selled them.

The old old ones that people really loved were amyl nitrate and are completely banned.

The current formula is isopropyl nitrate. I have seen one particular other named bottle that was something different a few months ago but it was totally useless.

The reason that theres no amyl around is because even though I get asked for it a lot let's be honest would you risk your livelihood and freedom for the folks that desperately go on about how much they want them but would then baulk at paying a fiver a bottle even if you were stupid enough to source and stock them??

I currently stock 24 different brand names and some are definitely better than others both in terms of strength and longevity.

Amyl nitrite is a prescription only medicine (POM) although I don't think it is prescribed any longer as there are better treatments for angina and cyanide poisoning.

As far as I can tell all poppers in the UK, and probably the rest of Europe, are butyl nitrite.

Isobutyl nitrates were banned in 2009 across Europe. Isopropyl nitrates are sold in europe now. You can still get isobutyl versions via the US etc...
