I think the OP will have more options than we have in the over populated areas round here. I like to find spots for outdoor photography and generally can by wandering along the canal tow paths...away from roads and soon in the middle of the countryside. Good luck

There are loads of discreet spots

Around Orrell , billinge , up Holland and skelmersdale and further afield on the country lanes heading to southport.

I often visit them in my van!!!! With the added bonus of it having a bed & a sofa in the back.
