I ask the above question due to chat I had with mate which went a bit like this:
Mate: (Female)
I had a good night at a swinging event in barking it was mostly just chat and I enjoyed myself.
Me: (Male lol)
I dont understand social swinging you dont have to be swinger just to chat over alcoholic or non alcoholic drink
Mate:
Alot of people dont understand the social side to swinging, including you it seems. But you have to understand that most of the people on this kind of site are desperate for sex, and dont have a life lol. Hence they only want a f..k, however they dress it up. Well thats all good for them. But then there are thank goodness, quite a few "normal" folk, who really do enjoy gatherings of like minded people. Chatting, having a laugh and socialising. You see for that group of people, its about quality not quantity, and i have swapped numbers and met some very nice guys at such gatherings. You and i have never agreed with the concept of swinging anyway hun.

Swinging takes on many forms from the people who like to hear about what goes on to those who as your friend says are "desperate for a shag". Ive seen an older couple in Chameleons just watching the action in open rooms without joining in, there are people who go for the social side and if they play with others it`s a bonus! Then there`s the BDSM side, bi-sexualality, the list is endless or at least appears to be. You`ll find it very difficult to pidgeon hole swingers! |

for me, after 4 years... swinging is not just random sex either... its about exploring, and finding a sexual connection with someone, be it male, female, or couple... the social side is just a way of meeting these people before u arrange a sex meet with them... so be it a group social, or a small group of people just chatting in a pub, its great!
As a single female, its always a good way to meet so that you can judge wether u feel safe meeting up with that person/s alone at a later date as well.....  |

Thanks for the replies so far it was just me I dont like anything too mystified and my mate made out social side of swinging to be different from just having a chat.
I have met a couple from swinging heaven who apart from being swingers had same interest as me ie SOUL MUSIC so when we met we talked of music and I bumped into them at blackpool luxury soul event which I throughly recommend.
I have met couple of girls that were swingers not bi lol and nothing happened we once again just talked about music and our fabs experiences.
To me I make connection on here and then look to chat and then take it from there the location is of no consequence.
Well thank god fire brigade strike is off we may all need to be doused with water if we get lucky this weekend |
