How does one become a mod?

I've no idea if this is posted in the right place, so apologies if it is...
I have noticed there has been a lack of mods recently in the rooms and wondered how someone would become a mod to help moderate the rooms.
I use to be a mod some time ago on a different site and wondered if whoever decides these things would consider using me if the need arises or perhaps a way of nominating people who the users of the site think would make a good mod.

There should be a section on the site help to explain how mods are chosen.
Mods should be everyday users who become mods becuase they want to for the love of the site and want to help keep it a success not becuase of any benefits they may receive for being a mod.
When I was a mod, I paid the same fees are every other user.... I became a mod because I wanted to and loved the site I was on. |
