Can recommend Akbars on Liverpool Street opposite the Science Museum (it's by the Beecham Tower which is the tall tall building in the centre of Manchester - you can't miss it!)

Great food...and handily, it's close to Deansgate where there are some nice bars.

The Chinese buffet is opposite were your staying just about..along with Frankie and Bennies.plus a couple more restaurants
