Number 6 festival in Port Merion is supposed to be a great one.
Think I will have to Google a couple of those mentioned. The trouble is you can't do them all! |

Number 6 is great, started doing a few smaller ones over the last couple of years - Bingley Music Live, Y Not, Kendal Calling, they're all great.
Swingfields next year too, though it's not a usual festival |

The trouble is, waiting for headliners to be announced....Do you book the ticket paying £200 and its a pants band or wait and then you can't get tickets at face value
I would love to see Pearl Jam but pretty unlikely for this year loving a bit of Billy Idol though and The progidy |

Glasto is different: Pay £50 deposit up front in Oct. wait for slow dribble of band to be released then pay remainder in April. Weep with despair when favourite bands are not listed as playing then go anyway and have an amazing time. Also, tickets don't get re-sold as all have name and face on them. |

Been glasto 7 or 8 times and then dance festivals. Creamfields, the glade etc. What is swing fields. It either ticks boxes for dance music ( hard funky deep dish house not strictly cum dancing) and hedonistic pleasures or its rat pack.
any info appreciated and appreciate any info on dance festivals and or adult festies if any |

The Vanilla Alternative Festival of Fun is confirmed as 7th and 8th August this year for those that need to plan their summer diary. Great event over past couple of years and just keeps getting better and better. |

"anyone going to Green Man festival in wales? "
I go with a gang of folks every year.
if you've got any sense, you'd far prefer a reply from a Swedish au pair with a weekend off in August than a middle-aged Welsh git, but just saying
Couple of people mentioning No6 - I've written a long review of it for someone on here a day or two ago. I'm happy to share with others if thinking of going. It's not perfect (what festival is), but it's the a stupendously amazing location for a festival. |

They headlined Bearded Theory this year. Epic set that was a privilege to watch despite the audio issues the band had to contend with. |

"23 days until IOW. Cant wait. Just need to pick a couple of others now. We also fancy a couple of smaller, more intimate ones. "
Check out Wickerman in Scotland.
I love the Isle of Wight, it's an amazing festival. Unfortunately I can't go this year but I am going to to Glastonbury. Fingers crossed for a warm dry summer for us all! |

"The end of festivals?
Harvey Goldsmith reckons (in the Observer) that the age of rock festivals is passing cos the music industry simply isn't producing new 'mega' acts."
Big commercial festivals maybe, but there's a real groundswell of smaller roots festivals going on. |

You don't need mega acts, some of the best music at festivals can be seen on the up and coming stages. I absolutely love the John Peel stage at Glastonbury.
Also some of the new festivals popping up have a lot more going for them than just the music! |
