Swigers bar in the North East

I've just read a post here about a bar to meet other swingers in Manchester. The post was basically suggesting a named bar where people could go to meet. I know there are swingers clubs and there is the social but what do people think about an informal place where you are likely to bump into other like minded people? I can suggest a good bar in South Shields. |

Was thinking the Marsden inn out of town centre as there are plenty of places where you can be away from listening ears. In the town centre I was thinking Life of Reiley for the same reason. So anyone up for a first night drink? |

Marsden inn also has accommodation ?
So if a deal could be worked out with landlord it could be a special place ? |

To be honest I was originally suggesting a standard bar where people go at a set time each week. If other swingers happened to be there then great. Didn't want this to become a formal thing where the landlord was involved. |

Would be formal just if the urge took you if a deal could be made would make meeting there more exciting lol |

The Marsden inn used to run a fetish night at one point but was stopped due to bad press and publicity so doubtful land lord would be to keen on idea. Think its a good idea for like minded folks could go with the hope of meeting up with others. But how do you approach total stranger in a bar cant really go up to them asking if swingers  perhaps some discrete badge or similar just so people know who is who. |

Yup. Grotto for me...
I also agree with having some kind of distinction... i wouldn't just approach strangers and ask if they are from fab! If a regular thing then it will be easier! |

Sounds like a great idea to me, maybe another bar more central to everyone would be better. Would probably be best on a midweek night when the places are quieter |

How about 7.30 the grotto .fridays .put a glass of in the middle of the table as a sign cccc being the weekend if you hit off gives u time to sort something or hit the vivente club in sunderland if not  |

Well good luck with this if it is sorted out let us know but kind of think it is easier to arrange or attend a social....  |

There is a couple on here who organise very successful socials in Newcastle every couple of months, why re-invent the wheel ?
But getting back to the swingers bar issue. I'd suggest a pub in the gay area of Newcastle would be better than a "normal" or "family" pub.
If you looked at, for instance, blonde barrel in the centre for life, it is a good mixture of gay and non gay.
All you'd have to do is establish a regular evening each week which attracted a decent amount of swingers. But that would be the hard bit !!!!
