You talking about climping near Littlehampton in West Sussex? If so it is not a naturist beach and the dunes are fenced off. People do use the dunes to get naked but there is a golf course the other side so care is needed.
Only live 20 miles from there.

When I lived at Poling village, near Arundel, I used Climping routinely.
It is mixed, though mainly male. Perfectly legal and as said above backs onto the golf course (I have never known any confrontation).
I remember the local police Inspector & Sgt. wandering through with perfectly amiably.
Some playing in the dunes with discretion.
All in all a lovely beach.
Approach either via the Eastern side with a car park or the West passing through Ford open prison.
