At the present time, the situation at Holkham is very sensitive.
The beach has been unofficially naturist for many years, then suddenly in 2013 The Holkham Estate imposed a ban. This was ostensibly because of "sexual activity" but actually (it was found out later) because they wanted to build a large cafe right in the middle of a completely unspoilt area.
British Naturism took the Holkham Estate to court and got the ban lifted. But the wrath of every naturist in the country will descend on anyone who gives Holkham Estate any excuse to reimpose the ban. So, no sex on Holkham beach please, at least until the fuss has died down.
Just jump on Ryanair and get down to Cap d'Agde where you can bonk on the beach to your hearts content.
