Newcastle Social 2nd August 2014 Part 2

We now have over 140 people on the list and have a lot of new names In order to have a good mix of single male/females and couples we are now having to close the list to single men. Should anyone drop out that space will be allocated on a first come basis. 
Its summer social time again and the date is set for Saturday the 2nd of August. The theme for this social is red hot red to match the the summer weather we have ordered for this event
Please make sure you put your names down as soon as possible and please tell your friends that the social is now in the forum.

We regularly check the links to peoples profiles so that all places are allocated to active members. You were removed from the list when your link no longer worked so that someone else could attend. We can add you to the reserve list if you wish |

Hi Kenny we are constantly updating the list and therefore cannot give you a definite answer. We will however be sending details out to everyone on the list a week or 2 before the event. |

We were chatting with our lovely organisers about speed dating as a start to the social.
We thought it would be a great way to get people chatting and mingling!

Something like.....
Coloured stickers : green for people who are open to meeting anybody.
Red for people only wanting to meet couples etc
It would have to be in waves I think as there lots of people and not loads of seating.
Open to suggestions though....xx |

Beats having to have "all single men fuckoff" tattooed on your fore head lol. The format had worked well for years without the need for it. People we find all turn up in their own little cliques x |

The point in a social is to meet new people out side of your click. If you are staying in your click then seems a bit pointless may as well just meet them for a drink. Not trying to affend anyone.
So yer has some merit to have the speed dating at start.
Just my thoughts on it others will disagree. |

This sounds like a great idea... but ,aybe later on in the social when everyone has a chance to relax.....

List updated and all messages answered looking like we will have a great turnout tonight as we have 190 confirmed names and a record breaking 48 apologies which really helps us predict attendance figures and ensure we use the right venues, so a big thanks to all those who have let us know they can't make it and we hope you make the next one. (If everyone who has put their names down over the last 2 years and is still on the site attended the social we would have about 700 going!! Perhaps the next one we should go for it ) |

i think now would be a good time to reiterate that a "social" is not codename or an Orgy.... so if anyone is going with that impression, they are going to be very disappointed!
it is to have a good time and drink with people and put names to faces.... so please behave yourselves!!! |

I have only ever attended 2 socials a Cpl of years ago when a relationship and found them to be a good giggle and meet some lovely people. Unfortunately didn't see this social until it was to late but hope you all have a wonderful time and hopefully I'll be at the next one. Well done for those who organise this and help out at these evenings. Catch you all soon x |

simple formula is double it times by 3 subtract the number of your dogs age in dog years add 3 and share by 2.....its obvious only 141 will show..lol |

i bet i'm first person back... can i say it was great making my 60 minute appearance... it stretched to almost 2hrs!!! i know shocking....
thank you to all the lovely people i meant... to john and anna for all their hard word.... and to the people who kept me company...
and yes... the people i kept entertained with my 80's dancing in the cash dispensing queue..... (thought i'd own it rather than other people ruining what little street cred i have left... lol)
