If you do, don't park at Knoll beach, keep going in direction of the ferry. You will come across a strecth of road where cars/vans/bikes can park for frEe. A path (1mile walk) will lead you directly to the naturist beach. |

There is a footpath and a fire rendevous point on the straight bit of road to the ferry. I think there`s also a bus stop there too! This is apparently the closest point to the beach from the road and you should park as close as you can to this. |

There is a footpath and a fire rendevous point on the straight bit of road to the ferry. I think there`s also a bus stop there too! This is apparently the closest point to the beach from the road and you should park as close as you can to this."
As it happens, I went here with a couple of other forumites. The walk from the road is OK to start with but the final 300 yards to the beach through the dunes is bloody hard going, especially for someone like me with a dicky ticker! Yes, there are the merkats in the dunes just like everyone else has described but the one surprise for me was the permission of dogs on the beach, not that a problem exsisted with that as owners were diligently clearing up after their dogs. Toilets - there`s none! A bloody long walk to the Knoll Beach where you may well find purveyers of food and drinks. Otherwise, bring your own food and drink remembering the walk to the beach and brave the water (cold today!!!) to do your wee-wees! |
