Hi Everyone
A couple of us are going to the Lock and key in Newcastle for a "Journey to India Night". Then on to the pink for a few beers!!
"A journey through a wide range of exotic flavours and subtle tastes that explore the heritage of India"
(There will be a limited selection off the main menu for those who's partners don't like Indian)
Consists of:
Trio of starters all on one plate
Sea food Karu Muru - crunchy seafood stir fried with onions, garlic, curry leaves, chili powder and chopped tomatoes
Pork 65 - A spicy kerala preparation made with ginger and onions
Onion Bahji
Trio of Mains all on one plate
Kerala Chicken Curry - Chicken cooked with onins, garlic, cury leaves, chili podwer and chopped tomatoes
Fish Moile- fish cooked with coconut milk and temepered with mustard seeds
Channa Masala - Chickpea curry mixed with mango powder, served with lemongrass rice, indian bread, raitha and pickle.
Trio of Deserts all on one plate
Pal Payasam - Rice boiled in milk with Cashew nuts, raisins and cardomon
Gulab Jamun - Jamun, cardamon and rose water flavoured indian dough balls
Ice Cream - selection of flavours
If you fancy a look out with some good food, some good company and a few beers then who knows what lets us know so we can book some extra seats
