LAST REVIEW OF DESTINY SX RAINHAM ESSEX It is with much sadness and regret that we have to close our venue. The last events will be on the D-Day Weekend that is 4th- 6th June 2010. After 5 years of creating what we believe was one of the local area’s Finest, Friendliest, Honest and Fun Venues. Safe, Secure, Secluded & Licensed. After 5 years of never having any trouble with any official authorities. To quash any misinformation and rumours that we understand have been circulating we thought this would be the best way to inform you of the situation. The Local Authority of Havering has ordered us to cease trading and to close the venue it’s by their order and their order alone that we have to close, we have fought this all the way to the top and all legal avenues have now been exhausted. Despite the local auth initially helping us with the relevant forms, documents and processes etc, during that process they made several mistakes even losing our documents and subsequently held meetings without informing us and decisions were made without our invite or input. We do believe that personal issues with employees within the departments did influence their actions (So much for their help). Anyways there’s nothing we can do about this decision and regretfully have to close. Both of us would like to take this opportunity to thank the many friends who during the past 5 years have helped create what DSX was, a fun friendly honest best value venue by far. From the beginning back in 2005 up to now 2010 without the help not only in Destiny SX but also outside of DSX We have been honoured and very lucky to have made many personal friends many of whom are very close to us and in no particular order we would like to thank them. Extras: Of course dismantling of DSX is fairly labour intensive so during the Sunday 6th and the following 2 weeks we will be breaking down all of DSX anyone who wishes to help or wishing to buy any of the many items we have bought, created, built and maintained during the past 5 years are now for sale so make us an reasonable offer.
