For bi or gay men I'd say they're pretty essential. There seems to be a real backlash against people who put pics of their cocks as the main profile pic, but for some who want to remain anonymous to friends or work colleagues who may see them on these sites, what else are they going to do?

Some men may also feel that their cock is their greatest selling point.
