If you come out of the main train station turn Left, walk about 3 minutes to the life centre, Theresa couple of pubs there where there's always an artist on but good prices for drinks too.
Across from the square is the pink area where its mainly LGBT community pubs but a good night as no one bothers you but you can enjoy the atmosphere etc
Club ssshh is around the corner too which is excellent to find a swingers club so easy to find in a major city.
