It seems that you need to be verified to even be considered for a meet... but no one is willing to verify you over webcam, or meet you if you are unverified.
How did you guys break the vicious cycle? Genuinely looking for advice here. |

You could go to a social or a club.
Or do a webcam meet?
Or if you chat to anyone you could see if they will do a veri for you . |

Your premise is wrong. You don’t need to be verified to be considered for a meet. Yes with some people but not all. Saying that of course a lot easier and the easiest way to break the cycle is to go to a local organised social or club. Keep an eye on your local updates, check meet listings and Forum section on events and hopefully you will find a social/event. |

Thanks - clubs are really not for me, and I've never seen a social advertised here. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place.

Check this section of Forum regarding meets, events, etc. You are lucky being in Manchester as sure lots of things going on. On the first page there is an organised social for September. Probably others nearby.
