I’ve met up with loads of Cumbrians on here. Trust me, you’re cringeworthy and it’s putting folk off

Not necessarily, you could get a group of people and rotate meeting at each others houses, then eventually organise an event, would just take some planning and vetting of shitcunts |

Thats true but its a nightmare even getting people to chat let alone meat in a group.
I've tried to get a group social going for years now and never managed to get it started

Sadly this thread sums it up. Any meet up or social will be a sausage fest. No bloke is going to bring his partner into a room, pub or otherwise, full of single blokes on the off chance that other couples my or may not turn up. Any social should be organised by a couple and for couples with a few select singles of either sex and nobody is going to be arsed putting that much effort into it, it’s way too difficult to manage. |

All of the socials I've been to were a mix of singles and couples which is why I'm trying again to do something.
But you may be right, this may be a lost cause |

I’m in the forums daily, but rarely speak with other Cumbrians?
I’ve had meets with people from miles away, as a direct result of using the forum. Met a woman from Kidderminster once lol, had a halfway hotel meet in in Warrington!
Happy to chat with anyone, but never use the chat rooms sorry……. |
