Down the Rabbit Hole and Round the Corner

If you like the coast then I'd highly recommend north Devon.

There are some lovely beaches in Northumberland, plus Lindisfarne and Farne Island for the birds and also a few castles. Then drive down the coast to Whitby and Robin Hood's bay

I was brought up in Newcastle & can confirm the beeches look great, the water tends to be a bit cold for prolonged swimming. I now live in S Wales which has stunning beeches particularly if you head West

Dorchester

Come to Weymouth, great nightlife, pubs and restaurants, beautiful countryside and the Jurassic Coast to explore, and (I'm told!) some hot ladies too.

There are 2 Premier Inns and a million B&Bs, from cheap and cheerful, to boutique award winners. No, I'm not on commission but maybe I should be on the Tourist Board, lol
