Was staying in a hotel a few weeks ago (a Travelodge) with what seemed the strictest reception staff in the world.
Where are there decent hotels in UK (preferably Scotland) that have a way to bypass reception or at least reception staff that don't care about guests visiting rooms? |

There are some places that double as hotel and conference centre, typically with accommodation accessible without going past the reception desk. Visitors can just drive into the grounds and come to the room, though generally they need to be met outside as there are door locks to get past. |

Believe it or not we've had some epic visiting abilities in premier inns- or air B&B's.... You need to be able to see that the owners don't live right next door - and with Premier inns - it's always best to pop out for a casual fag and then meet them... And ninja back through reception with them - keep it smooth |
