Boston, Lincolnshire

We'll be visiting Oxford next Saturday, (12th) planning to visit the castle and Ashmolean, then staying in Faringdon over night, but don't know what to do/where to go on the Sunday. Can anyone recommend anywhere, preferably historical.

Northamptonshire

I can thoroughly recommend the Pitt Rivers Museum, just across the road from the Ashmolean. So much to see in there.

But if you're at Faringdon (and it's a nice day) then you could always visit the Uffington White Horse.

You'll enjoy it. In my opinion it is the best museum in Oxford. Have fun!

Near Buckingham

We actually live 5 mins from Faringdon, in a nearby village.

Pitt rivers is very good, as is white horse hill suggested above. If you’re in faringdon then make sure you check out the folly to - the last one built in England.

We’re actually probably walking our puppy on white horse hill that Sunday so might bump into you if you go
